Personal Experience & Biography
I am a dedicated clinical psychologist specializing in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children with anxiety, depression, and neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, and genetic conditions. My approach is compassionate and evidence-based, with a focus on individualized therapeutic interventions that promote emotional, social, and cognitive development. I am also a board-certified behavior analyst, which enhances my ability to provide integrated support to children and families navigating complex developmental challenges.
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Diego. I completed my doctoral internship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine—Kennedy Krieger Institute—and my postdoctoral training at the San Diego Center for Children. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools, residential programs, and homes. I’ve collaborated extensively with educators, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for my clients.
My therapeutic work is grounded in the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and every family deserves compassionate, effective support. I use engaging, play-based, and strengths-focused techniques that are tailored to each child’s unique needs. For parents and caregivers, I offer clear, practical guidance and create a collaborative, respectful environment where insights and concerns are always welcomed. I also frequently give presentations to the public and graduate students, sharing my expertise on the treatment of children with neurodevelopmental differences.
My clinical services include diagnostic clarification, individualized therapy, parent coaching, and school consultation. I help children facing challenges with attention, impulse control, emotional regulation, social communication, sensory sensitivities, and academic struggles. Therapy goals are co-created with families and designed to be both measurable and meaningful, ensuring that interventions remain aligned with each child’s developmental needs and each family’s priorities.
What drives me is witnessing growth in the small victories—a child making a friend, managing big feelings, or a parent feeling hopeful and empowered. From the very first intake session, I prioritize trust and connection, creating a safe, welcoming space where children feel heard and supported. My mission is to guide families with compassion and to equip them with tools to foster resilience, confidence, and lasting progress.
